In his corporate advisory practice, he has handled M&A, investment and PMI deals worth more than KRW 1 trillion in aggregate in the startup sector alone. He has also provided legal advisory on mergers, spin-offs, shareholder responses, and strategy formulation for governance changes and improvements of holding companies and affiliates.
His clients span industries including Food/HMR, Robotics, Mobility, AI, E-Commerce, Fintech/Payment, K-POP/Contents/Entertainment, Platforms, Blockchain & Crypto, VR/AR, IoT, and Manufacturing, and his experience covers the entire process from company formation to new service launch, regulatory review, corporate dispute resolution, domestic and overseas fundraising, and M&A/PMI.

He led the legal review of mobility services that became matters of public controversy, including Tada (SOCAR), Poolus and Buxi, and defended their founders in criminal and administrative cases arising from domestic mobility services. He has conducted new business reviews in E-commerce for Fresheasy, Heodak, and Blank Corporation; new service launches for AI companies such as Riiid; and new business reviews in Fintech & Blockchain for Finda, Doomoolmori, Kodebox, and Heybit.
Furthermore, he handled regulatory reform matters in the IT-Startup sector while serving as an advisory attorney for the Ministry of Science and ICT, a reviewer for the Regulatory Review Committee of the Ministry of Science and ICT, an expert member for legal system services of the Public Data Strategy Committee, and a secretary of the Legal System Support Group for the Korea Startup Forum. In 2017, he conducted IT convergence new industry regulatory reform consulting for the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency, and received a commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT, being selected as a person of merit for regulatory improvement.

He has handled a wide range of corporate litigation (customs disputes, tax disputes, trademark disputes, IP disputes, civil and criminal cases arising from new businesses, B2B transaction disputes, administrative disputes, etc.) and management control disputes (provisional injunctions, occupational breach of trust, embezzlement, non-competition, prohibition of concurrent holding of offices, etc.), appearing in provisional injunction proceedings and in civil, criminal and administrative cases. He has also represented numerous victims of financial crimes in civil and criminal lawsuits against investment companies.
Background
Attorney Junghwan Lee holds degrees in Statistics and Law from Korea University. He then served as a Research Officer with the Financial System Team, Financial Stability Department of the Bank of Korea.
